In keeping with requests from certain clients­, Alexandre Schmitt does not share the full list of wine estates that ask for his help in composing their final blend. Few collaborations: Opus One, Château d'Yquem, Spottswoode or Ysios...
Requests to blend wines generally occur further to a spirit of cooperation and understanding created during Wine & Flavors seminars. The purpose is to highlight the wine's aromatic intensity and to find the best possible balance between the taste, structure, texture, etc. of different lots.

Opus One, Overture
Napa Valley (California)
Has helped to make the final blend since the 2008 vintage. This does not entail imposing a recipe, but becoming part of a technical team and continually giving more focus to the wines. Work on press wines.
Château d'Yquem, Y
Sauternes (France)
Provide the technical team with an outside view of the vintage and which lots should be included under the main château label. Ditto for the dry white wine.
Spottswoode, Lyndenhurst, Sauvignon Blanc
Napa Valley (California)
Work on finished wines, with no advice whatsoever given concerning viticulture or winemaking. The goal is to achieve the maximum potential of each lot of finished wine, or wine aging in barrel, to produce three different labels. Experiments with different barrels.
